New Cover for "Winter Thaw"

"Winter Thaw" also has a new cover that is much better than the old one. It will take Amazon a few days to update the covers, of course, so if you want it with the new one, you should wait to buy it. (Or you can borrow it for free with your Kindle Unlimited membership.)

Kane Winter is cold and unemotional, two assets that make him an excellent assassin. Danika Rich, widow of a murdered senator, inspires unaccustomed emotions, making him want to protect her. The passion he feels for Danika began to un-thaw his frozen heart, but he knows she can never love him when she learns he was the one who assassinated her husband.

New Cover

"Picture Perfect" has a lovely new cover that is so much better than the amateurish one it used to have. The model representing Mekhi...yum. Unfortunately, it usually takes Amazon a couple of days to update covers, so here is an early reveal:

Rachel and Mekhi are new roommates and old friends. Rachel has wanted him for as long as she's known him, but he only dates women of his own race. She settles for fantasies and friendship, longing for more.

Mekhi never saw Rachel as anything more than a friend until they became roommates. Suddenly, she is all he can think of. Now, he just has to convince her they should share a bed, not just an apartment.

As I wrote at the end of the novel:

This was a grueling story to write. I really wanted to do justice to the characters’ experiences and emotions. The whole story started out well, and the words came easily. The plot went where it was supposed to go…until Shane developed a conscience. He was supposed to be the villain, but I guess he didn’t like that idea. Once that twist popped up, I surrendered and let my characters take me along for the ride. We entered some murky territory, and I think this might be the darkest thing I’ve ever written. There were times when I had to take a break from the angst and issues, but I always found myself drawn back and compelled to continue. These characters demanded resolution, and I was at their mercy. (Yes, I’m aware that sounds kind of nuts.)

Shane is still a quandary. Is he redeemed? Did he change? I think he must have, but how much? Is he worthy of his own story, or has he done too many horrible things to ever be completely redeemed? I’m interested to hear my readers’ input on the subject.
